My life in tennis spans more than fifty years, three countries, and two continents. I was fortunate to grow up during a golden era of the sport. Björn Borg, Vitas Gerulaitis, Jimmy Connors, and John McEnroe brought electricity to every match they played. The next wave—Mats Wilander, Stefan Edberg, Boris Becker, Jim Courier, and Andre Agassi—carried the game forward with a new level of athleticism and artistry.

After more than forty years of teaching tennis, I’ve come to realize the court was never just about forehands and backhands. It became a classroom for discipline, patience, confidence, and sometimes humility. This book gathers the lessons I’ve learned—through students, matches, victories, and mistakes—and shares how tennis quietly shapes character both on and off the court.
